The Peter Kirk PTSA provides a wide variety of programs and enrichment for our students. Each spring, current and new programs are reviewed during the PTSA budget process. We ask parents, teachers and staff to help in creating a budget and enrichment programs by doing the following:

Take an Enrichment Survey (CLOSED March 14, 2013)

Information gathered from this survey will be used to determine enrichment are priorities as well as tell us which programs are and are not valued by parents, students, teachers, and staff. See the results of this survey:

Propose a NEW Program

New programs to be considered for the 2013-2014 school year need to have a New Program Request form filled out. If you have an idea that you would like the PTSA to sponsor in some way (money, promoting, insurance, etc.), submit a New Program Request form as soon as possible. Program ideas that already have someone who is willing to implement the program and help run it when it is implemented are much more likely to help enrich the students than ideas that are looking for a leader. All new programs are reviewed using the New Program Request Process. For questions concerning proposing a new program or about the New Program Request form, contact the PTSA Board of Directors.

Provide Feedback to the Enrichment Committee

The Enrichment Committee provides a collaborative forum for discussion and evaluation of Peter Kirk Enrichment Programs. The Peter Kirk staff, PTSA members at large, PTSA Board of Directors and PTSA Executive Board members are all represented on this committee. The committee will try to ascertain, discuss and finalize recommendations based on teacher/staff input as well as parent/community input. The Enrichment Committee gathers information about enrichment programs in three main ways:

1. Direct communication and feedback to committee members from staff, children, and PTSA members
2. Compiled information from New Program Proposal and Program Evaluation forms
3. Enrichment surveys

All this work is done in the best interest of Peter Kirk students!

The PTSA Board of Directors will use the Enrichment Committees' recommendations to assist in creating a framework for decision making and to provide additional information and guidance in planning the 2013-2014 budget. If you are interested in providing feedback to the Enrichment Committee, please email the Enrichment Committee or the PTSA President.
